The best base for creamy ice cream with fruit…
Best yogurt ice cream recipe with fruit
You could say that yogurt ice cream is perfect when combined with fruit. Whether you like it plain and want to garnish it with fruit, or whether you add the fruit directly to the ice cream mixture, both go really well.
The slight acidity of the yoghurt goes very well with sweet fruit and balances it out a little. When it comes to fruit ice cream, sorbet or yogurt ice cream always tastes the freshest and never too sweet. That’s why we often make this peach yogurt ice cream recipe from the ice cream maker at home.
Creamy homemade yogurt ice cream
There is nothing tastier than freshly made ice cream that is creamy and smooth. We have found the best recipe and would like to share it with you today. Of course, you can always add more sugar, but you don’t need a lot of sweetness for a creamy peach yogurt ice cream recipe.
If you like it even creamier, you can add a banana to the recipe, but then you can taste it right away. We prefer it without banana, but we would like to introduce you to our delicious banana ice cream recipe next.
This creamy peach yogurt ice cream recipe also works very well with other types of fruit. You can use fresh fruit or defrosted fruit, such as strawberries, raspberries, mangoes and bananas. However, a yogurt ice cream recipe is not for people who do not like or cannot tolerate the tart taste of milk.
Fruit ice cream with or without an ice cream maker
We prefer to make our fruity peach yogurt ice cream recipe in the ice cream maker. This makes it really soft and smooth. However, you should remove all the stones from the peaches beforehand.
You can also make the ice cream without an ice cream maker, but you should then take the ice cream out of the freezer every 30 minutes and whip it again as it freezes so that the ice cream is creamy. An ice cream machine does this and is also much quicker. For us, the ice cream is ready to eat within 10 minutes in the ice cream maker.
If you are using canned peaches for this recipe, please remember to drain the peaches well beforehand. The drier they are, the fewer ice crystals you will have in the ice cream later. I like to put the peaches in the fridge to drain, so that the ice cream is prepared even faster with the cold ingredients.
