Our delicious and quick coffee ice cream recipe for creamy cappuccino ice cream with chocolate or chocolate chips for coffee drinkers. We are coffee lovers and have spent a long time looking for the best recipe for coffee ice cream and have now found it. We are really happy with the blend and love the taste, which is similar to cappuccino and iced coffee, just a little more bitter.
Coffee ice cream recipe, espresso ice cream and cappuccino ice cream
We like to drink a lot of coffee, so it’s only natural that we want to make ourselves a coffee ice cream every now and then. However, many recipes are made with instant coffee, which wasn’t the perfect solution for us. We wanted to use our favorite and good beans from the coffee machine for the espresso ice cream and coffee ice cream recipe.
We weren’t just interested in the taste of coffee, we really wanted it to go perfectly with the coffee we drink. The aroma and oils of freshly ground coffee also have a different effect on the ice cream than is possible with instant coffee.
How do you ensure that the coffee ice cream doesn’t taste too watery, but really delicious? Time for a coffee ice cream recipe, like an iced latte, an iced coffee, refined cold espresso and creamy like delicious cappuccino ice cream.
Coffee ice cream with strong espresso from the coffee machine
Our current coffee machine or fully automatic coffee machine, the Jura GIGA 10, can brew cold espresso directly as a cold brew and makes our preparation time even easier. You can use the cold fresh coffee or espresso straight away and don’t have to wait until it has cooled down.
For coffee lovers, there is hardly anything more tempting than the idea of a delicious ice cream with the intense aroma of fresh coffee. Whether espresso, cappuccino or just an easy classic coffee – the combination of creamy ice cream and invigorating caffeine is a real treat for the senses.
For someone who really likes to drink and enjoy coffee, it’s always easy to discover special coffees. We enjoy a strong coffee that has been roasted slowly and therefore has very little acidity. However, a good espresso can also have a little more acidity. We wanted to have exactly these two characteristics for our espresso ice cream.
The delicious espresso taste is transferred to the ice cream in exactly the same way. The whipped cream and whole milk make the ice cream really creamy and give it an iced coffee note. However, the fresh coffee makes the coffee ice cream a little more watery if you freeze it after preparation. That’s why we prefer to eat the ice cream freshly made, and also get on well with the frozen consistency.
Cappuccino ice cream with chocolate
We always love finding new recipes with fresh coffee and think the combination with nuts and chocolate is not only perfect in our muffin recipe with fresh coffee. For our cappuccino ice cream and coffee ice cream recipe, we opted for bitter dark chocolate, as the mixture goes really well together.
Our coffee ice cream recipe is super popular as cappuccino ice cream with dark chocolate and can be extended as desired. If you like, you can add caramel sauce to the ice cream after preparation for a caramel-frappuccino effect. Grated hazelnuts also go well as a crumble on top of the ice cream.
If you want something even more original and crispy, sprinkle a few real coffee beans or chocolate mocha beans over the finished ice cream. We like to serve the ice cream from our coffee ice cream recipe in our wide coffee cups as an alternative to an ice cream sundae.

Quick and easy! Love it! Only my ice cream maker needs about 20-30 minutes till finished, so you might have a better machine 🙂
Thank you Timothey – might depend on the ice cream maker, but also if you have pre-cooled your ingredients …
