When you hear Frankfurt, the first things that come to mind are certainly banks and skyscrapers, a large airport and the famous skyline – but Frankfurt as a gourmet city is mentioned less in the first sentence. However, if you look at the various restaurant guides, there is an interesting selection of gourmet restaurants in and around the Main metropolis. One of these special restaurants is Sra Bua by Juan Amador Restaurant in the Kempinski Hotel Gravenbruch in Neu-Isenburg, only about 15 minutes from the center of Frankfurt.

When you hear the name Sra Bua, I’m sure you think directly of the blogpost about Sra Bua by Tim Raue at the Hotel Adlon Kempinski. After the great experience there, I was of course even more excited to see how I would like it in Frankfurt. The renewed culinary combination of pan-Asian crossover cuisine with the special and personal European influences.

Juan Amador is known for special compositions, special taste experiences and final decisions and is not only the name emblazoned on the restaurant door on the first floor of the luxury restaurant.

The decisions in the kitchen, however, are made by Dennis Maier, known to many gourmets from Juan Amador’s restaurant in Mannheim, as well as the Ketschauer Hof in Deidesheim. Dennis Maier thus knows how to conjure up high-quality dishes and a pleasant atmosphere, subject to the highest quality criteria.

Admittedly, the term “crossover cuisine” is often chosen in recent months and years and is always represented with some suspicion in my mind.

The experiences range from special wasabi towers with snail juice in two and three star restaurants, (as a mix of French/Malay cuisine) to an indefinable firework of spiciness and sweetness as a combination of Thailand and the Alpine country… but I was excited about the new experience at the Sra Bua by Juan Amador restaurant at the Kempinski Frankfurt Gravenbruch.

The atmosphere and soundscape in the restaurant with about 40 seats quiet, the decorations appropriate and underlining the Asian flair and the special request for a non-alcoholic accompaniment to the menu was gladly implemented without any problems. One noticed in the Sra Bua by Juan Amador immediately, one arrived in a star restaurant, where also value is attached to formal procedures and the special service.

For the evening, the menu “SMILES AND MORE” was chosen, which would additionally be possible with a wine accompaniment – likewise, an exchange of dishes is also possible in Sra Bua by Juan Amador and can be implemented without major problems. What remains after a good four-hour taste fire at Sra Bua by Juan Amador is admiration for a beautiful – and above all still edible – crossover cuisine conjured up by Dennis Maier and his team and underscored by various small accents in each course and also matching non-alcoholic drinks and cocktails.

Not without reason, the restaurant Sra Bua by Juan Amador in the Kempinski Hotel Gravenbruch has already received a star after 11 months in the current edition of the Guide-Michelin and I am currently absolutely sure that this star will also be confirmed next year.

In addition to the great service already in the Hotel Kempinski Gravenbruch, hotel director Stefan Schwind can thus name another argument why you should visit the great hotel. I really find above all the possibilities very good to be able to offer between traditionally Hessian kitchen in the Torschenke, a Healthy Food in the restaurant Esszimmer now also the possibility for a star restaurant in the own house to the guest and the conference participants.

The Sra Bua restaurant by Juan Amador shows also here again, a culinary taste firework – similarly as in Berlin – in a special Ambiente. I wish you a lot of fun during your visit in Frankfurt and I am sure you will like the concept and the crossover cuisine as well.
